WRHI2013: NOVEMBER

Oooh one of my favourite months aside from March and December!

Let's see.. I remember:

  • The end of AS and A2
  • 17 on the 17th
  • Getting pierced
  • Camp briefing
  • Solo travelling for a week

It's no secret I loved the fact of turning 17. Still not too sure why. But I do remember saying that while I feel 16 was golden, I felt 17 could be a platinum one.
And you can never have enough gold and platinum throughout your whole life!

On the morning of my birthday, my mum got a whole box of Lamingtons with all different flavours inside. And my dad called the night before saying 'happy belated birthday'
geeeez thanks pa.
I spent the early hours of the 17th watching the Swedish film versions of Millenium because I spent my 16th birthday reading the trilogy.
Love love love SL.
We didn't really celebrate much because I had my Lit paper the next day but it's cool, I really liked that day.

The very next immediate day after my final paper, we (KZ KE and Nyss)((Izzul was supposed to go but she couldn't) got our ears pierced because no more exams! weeeee!
Except for Nyss though, she still had a paper to go.
The pain only kicked in after that but the rush you get while having a piercing gun shooting through your skin was amazing.
I consider the piercing as a birthday gift for myself. To have my friends do it too only made my 17 an effing blast.
(It only fully healed a month later)

I feel very lucky to have been involved in the BSAC three years in a row. I found it rather awkward to brief this year's delegate on the do's and dont's and one that was highly emphasised was to always cover up. Which is funny because that's coming from me.
It was great to meet the camp mates again because as cliche as it sound, they're family away from family.

FAV PART.
For a week, I walked the streets of Singapore alone. Ok, more like the streets of Orchard Road.
It's only Singapore, I know but it kinda was a big deal for me because learning the ropes of the MRT and bus schedules are crazy!
You can check out my travel posts under November.
The 'alone' part is partly true because my dad had work from 8-4 so I only see him around 5.
I also felt it was a good bonding time for the two of us because we hardly see each other. And when we do, we find ways to annoy each other to the point where we voluntarily choose to not see each other. (I'm usually the one brooding in my room)
I updated quite a lot while in Singapore so shouldn't be a problem looking back at that one!

What have I to say about November in general?
Definitely inconclusive because November was a really really good month.
I think I'll elaborate more on November soon but for now, my old eyes says sleep grandma sleep.
Goodnight guys!

xom.
