Missing out on the family trip (a big deal because we never travel together with our parents) wasn't a bummer at all.
The past 5 days was fun, if not very fun.
For the first time, my mum was all up for sleepovers.
But that's probably because she was concerned about me being alone at home.
Don't get me wrong guys, but my mum has this weird or a very Asian thing about sleepovers. Sleeping over at friends' houses are a big NO NO because ' karang menyusahkan orang' but when friends sleepover at our place she's all like 'kalau orang datang ertinya membawa rezeki'.
I don't really get the logic but I tolerate.
But somehow this year my mum lets me come home around midnight when I'm out with friends (raya season) and have my first sleepover at a friend's (no judging ok)
For some, this might be the norm but not for this rubber duck!
She's either very conservative or thinks I'm up to no good...hmm.
I'm just glad she trusts me a little more this time.
I still find it funny how you can let someone whom you've known less than your other close friends really in to your life.
And after watching the 1999 film 'Forces of Attraction' starring Sandra Bullock and Ben Affleck, I learned that 'sometimes the people we meet changes us forever' and boy ain't that true.
Watch the movie guys, it doesn't end in a typical happy ending but it makes more sense and makes you think more.
Or maybe that was just me.
Anyway, December so far has been a really good month for 2013.

Here's me hoping that the next 16 days will be just as good.
My sister painfully reminded me that I'll be sleeping alone tonight as opposed to the past few nights and I was kinda sad to think about the fact so I asked if this is how it feels when someone dies and she's like 'no ka, just no'
idk ok.
I'm still alive at this hour because it kinda feels weird now because I have no one to watch Modern Family with??
I think life works in a funny way like the saying 'If God closes a door, he opens a window,' because the craziest things really do happen.
