OLA CHICAS
Saving all the dramas for some other time, I'd like to talk about 4th Raya!
I had a little intimate-get-together-with-food because it's not an open house and had some friends over.
The day started with D's friend who came with her parents.
WHICH gave me a new experience because my parents were not present at that moment so we had to continue that chat mill turning.
See what I just did there? ;)
LOL anyway, turned out pretty good surprisingly.
ooh, Rahemah and Muhsin came to help out (which I will probably pay back the favour by helping them out soon). couldn't have survived the whole parenting thing without them!
Initially I thought that no one would come you know because I just have this constant fear that everyone would just bail out last minute but perhaps I prayed too hard because what came after that, was beyond what I could count with both my hands.
Some friends (all the way from Tutong & KB) came slowly and ate and just practically hung out and then some guys from camp came with their friends (which I didn't mind because the more people came, the faster the food ran out) and then that was sort of the time where everyone sort of subconsciously sent messages to come at the some time!
Although it was chaotic, I personally enjoyed the vibe.
Mal J came, followed by Nys&Reg (all of whom I should give big thank you hugs for helping me out when it was too much too handle)
&then Heelda came a bit later with her other friends which was great, really because of the food ran out faster so there's no more to keep. And at this time, some random kids (around 10 of them) came and beraya and then my uncle came.
OOH.
BUT, thanks to Mal, Reg, Nys and my other buddy Syahir, they helped out to make sure everything went smoothly. They were my 'co-tuan rumah'. UHMAZING.
I really didn't expect that many people.
&then by that time, slowly people went back, and I genuinely was grateful that people came, even with their friends&cousins.
hands down, almost the best raya.
at around 9, Nabil who came from Temburong dropped by with his brothers, and at this time my mum finally came and actually supervised things.
She chatted with the brothers, having much more in common to talk about than I thought.
I just really want to say MAJOR MAJOR THANKS to those who menyudikan diri to datang and spend time to just chat and another MAJOR MAJOR THANKS to the 6 who helped out!
I can finally focus on something else that's not Raya.
lol
I bet some would be like 'ugh just shut up mills, stop talking about your short day with not many invites and why are you making a big deal about this?'
Well, in case that thought ran across your mind, I'd like to clarify that everything was done without any supervision and yes, you might think that that's pitiful because you've done all that when you were 10. Well, I haven't and I believe that although it was not well planned, it probably was well executed. I'm proud of myself because I thought I was only going to have 20 people around (max), not double that. So, say whatever, I'm still glad.
