We all learned the hard way that you CANNOT expect a good movie worth waiting after reading the book.
WELL DUH
I thought the whole 10 years of Harry Potter said all that loud and clear
Books will ALWAYS be better than the movie.
- if they're gonna direct the movie based on the whole book, how long do you think it's going to show?
- little but very important details like 'I watched her cry in her bloodstained colored eyes when she tried to conceal it by saying everything is fine' will not happen in movies because how on earth are they going to shoot that? close up on the eyes for a minute? no shit bro
- the thing about movies is the budget. more scene require more lighting and whatever. and costumes!
- that is why watching a directed debut of a written piece can be a second hand experience because you've seen the movie IN YOUR HEAD
We want the movie to surpass the excitement that occurs in the imagination that follows while reading but too bad that's not going to happen because of a billion things.
Not everyone's imagination of Harry Potter in the first book looked like Daniel Radcliffe and Hermione Granger to be Emma Watson.
But as soon as the movie came, the whole role playing thing changes.
In the other HP books, you imagine Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson.
Not some weird hair dude with a scar on his forehead, not some weirdo ginger and an ugly geek with freckles.
It's structured now.
What I'm trying to say is (& I know it's controversial) never compare movies with the books.
It really depends on the reader.
xom.
