sore arms

OLA CHICAS!

Warning: Long post up ahead.

Yesterday was the Belalong and half of the class went which was totally great :)
So, we started the journey at 8 AM at the Kianggeh Jetty and reached Temburong around 8.50 AM and we saw a sunbathing crocodile on the way. This is when we all got a text from Digi, Maxis and whatever because we passed Limbang, which obviously is a part of Malaysia.

Upon reaching, we then took another ride to go to the Eco Village. On the way there, the tour guide explained to us about the different people that lived there and their culture which was fun to know, knowing that when they remember the dead, they drink rice wine out of skulls. That is what you call recycling. I'm kidding, but the ritual sounds scary and cool at the same time.

We finally reached the Eco Village which looks magnificent with all the plants and the flowers, not to mention the great toilets. Took a snack break and a lot of videos for the video journal. We then rode on the Temuai to reach our next destination which is the Canopy Walkway. The ride took about 15-20 minutes and the view is splendid. As we reached the bottom of the walkway, we hiked and trailed the 385 meter distance and the 1226 stairs. We saw Red and White Meranti and the guide showed us how to survive when you're lost in the woods, what to do and what to eat.

We trailed for about 45 minutes? or maybe more or less like that, and then reached the bottom of all the steel reinforcements to support the walkway. The journey didn't end there, we had to climb four levels on the steel cable just to reach the very top. My palms are sweating just thinking about this. It was really fun and scary at the same time, not to mention the strong wind that I thought would knock me down. Mt. Kinabalu was in a distance but I'm not sure if it was on my left or right. If you think that was the hard part, think about climbing down. When before, you can actually avoid not looking down, this time, you have no choice but to do so. It was nuts.

After that we took another Temuai ride and just had another 15-20 minute ride looking at the view. Then, we reached the Waterfall entrance which would take about 10-15 minutes just to finally reach it. Changed into our rubber slippers and some of us barefoot, walked through the cold water and had foot spa at the same time. When we did reach it, the girls were already dipping themselves under the waterfall. The waterfall was really pretty. Nothing beats the view. There was actually natural fish spa but I decided not to have it because I felt that the fishes had to many teeth like a Piranha. We stayed for like an hour I think and then back to the village where I took a slight shower and then we ate like nobody's business. The plates were covered in Banana Leaf which gave the Temburong vibe, you know what I mean? and then, as usual had a few laughs and we headed off. We reached Bandar at around 5 and although the activities were little, but the time it took was a lot.

Funnily enough, this morning I woke up at 9 but I slept at 1. But I can feel my eyes dropping of my face now. Yeah, the muscle sores are too normal, but it hurts.

CIAO CHICAS :)
