WRHI2013: JUNE

Against all odds, I remember having to sit through June quite happily.

I remember:

  • Trainings&Tournaments
  • Ka Qilah's wedding
  • Term Break
  • Extra Classes
  • Almost Ramadhan
  • Birthdays

Judging from my archive and my calendar, I can safely say June was packed with fun.

There were a lot of rugby training sessions (twice a week with the coaches and every thursday informally) and I won my first sports medal that month because we came third in the tournament.
Pretty good because we're all noobs.
June was also when I made the decision to stop it with the burgers from McDonald. Now every time I go there I eat their apple pie.
And  I'm that person who does not like my fruits cooked. Or preserved. Or served in any main courses (I mean, raisins in my rice? C'mon)

With the second term break, it was an on and off for me.
I loved it but I didn't like not going to school.
But it was okay anyway because we supposedly had 3 History classes in it but we only went to 1 because Cg cancelled.

There was also the mural painting for the A-Team (it's currently hanging on the third floor's bridge between Block D and the Science Block)((because they took it down for the very very big Pride&Prejudice poster))
I am not going to deny that I have (and not had) issues with it.
In fact, I have problems with how it lured normal people with an average income (if not no income at all) into the trapping arms of consumerism, the killing of trees to print way too many posters that you could cover the school up in it, the urge to dress like they're in some 18th century novel and the false presentation of "lucky draws", to name a few.

But kudos to the people in it for being able to transform themselves into stage actors.
With the amount of practice and the interfering of stage decorations and the restrictions for our sound and AV check for the school's annual HR celebrations, you guys could pull it off!
I mean, it's just a free-entrance trademarked school tradition that's there once a year and our only year to handle it properly, meticulously planned a few months in advance with a budget carefully calculated and set aside that took 10 hours of labour work because you needed the stage empty.
Pssh, what even right?
It's just some normal celebration in school compounds, that is not on par with the comfortable, bouncy seats of the Empire Theater.

OK, maybe I do have some hate in that month. But that's only because ugh stupid.

There was KZ's advanced birthday. Apparently she didn't know we were gonna go watch a movie but heh that's ok!
And there was Ezzati's birthday. She hid very well. Like... like, well I can't find any metaphors to properly describe how good she hid away from the world! LOL she didn't even join a supposed birthday hangout but daskool too.
There was Nyss' birthday. I remember switching off my phone for a whole day because I think I was pissed. well not at her. who gets mad at Nyss anyway
Basically, it was a month of celebrations because most of my very close friends were birthed in this month! lol

And we were all preparing for the arrival of Ramadhan (always a good month)

I have no hate for the people in P&P, so please don't take it personally.
I just have issues with the whole arrangement.

xom.
