You can never expect anything normal here.
You see women dressed in t-shirts, jeans and slippers leaving expensive, haute couture (ok maybe not), fancy boutiques and some women dressed to the nines leaving less expensive ones like Cotton On.
Their saleslady at the Ralph Lauren counter wears Hermes while the cashier wears Tissot.
And there you are, the customer, in Giordano.
Do you see where I'm going with this?
I've seen the sales assistant wear Ferragamo for crying out loud!
Fact is, brands are not unknown here, in fact it's not a 'want' but a 'need'.
If you wanna fit in, you gotta really fit in.
You can't tell the difference really, between a bank manager and a saleslady because they all are the same.

On a 10 minute walk, you can see numerous A&Fs, Coach, Guess, CKs, MKs, RLs and a lot more passing by you.
Oh and if you feel like buying any food or drinks, avoid 7-Eleven as much as possible. They're expensive as they are a franchise.
Instead, try Fair Price.
If you're staying along Orchard Rd, you can find it on the basement level of Scotts Square.
They are much much cheaper and not a quality less.
And don't forget to go retail. Saves you a whole lotta money for the sane item!
